Bethanna Holiday Shopping — Nov 22, 2025 There are days when the simple act of giving becomes the most meaningful lesson for our kids. On Saturday, November 22, 2025 the Firebirds Circle gathered at Walmart in Warrington to shop for Bethanna’s holiday program — a day of purpose, quiet pride, and joyful chaos as we shopped, and learned together. Our group of volunteers (13 strong) split into small teams to tackle wish lists. We aimed to make the holiday season brighter for the families Bethanna supports. There are days that remind you why community matters. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025 — the 24th annual CHOP Buddy Walk® & Family Fun Day at Lincoln Financial Field — was one of those days for the YMCA Adventure Guides. We came as Team Mac & Cheese, we cheered and played, and we left with fuller hearts and a deeper understanding of what it means to give back. Registration began at 9:30 a.m. and by 10:30 the program had everyone smiling. At 11:30 a.m. we joined the ceremonial lap — kids, parents, siblings, and friends walking together — and the whole arena hummed with joy and purpose until the event wrapped at 1 p.m. Our team parked in Lot K at the North Entrance and spilled onto the grounds to enjoy moon bounces, carnival games, face painting, character appearances, music, and delicious food and beverages. ...

Tree Planting at Deer Wood Campground — November 16, 2025 There’s something special about giving back to the places that give us so much. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Firebirds Circle gathered at Deer Wood Campground in Pipersville to plant trees — not just to beautify the grounds, but to honor the parks and natural spaces where we camp, explore, and build lasting memories together. This service project was more than tree planting. It was a hands-on opportunity to teach our children about environmental stewardship, demonstrate gratitude for the outdoor spaces we enjoy, and connect more deeply with nature through meaningful action. ...
